  Spain's religion.  The majority of the Spanish population is Catholic. The presence of Catholicism in Spain is historically and culturally pervasive. However, in the past 40 years of secularism since Franco’s death, the role that religion plays in Spaniards’ daily life has diminished significantly. Law prevents the Spanish census from recording the religious affiliation of the population. However, in 2018, the Spanish Centre for Sociological Research estimated that 68.5% of the population identified as Catholic. A further proportion of the population identified as irreligious (16.8%) or   atheist    (9.6%). Jamaica Religion    Religious Background Rastafari , also spelled Ras Tafari,  religious  and political movement, begun in  Jamaica  in the 1930s and adopted by many groups around the globe, that combines Protestant Christianity, mysticism, and a pan-African political consciousness. Rastafarians are members of a religious and political movement that began on the Caribbean island of Jamaica in the late 1920's. Followers of the movement are sometimes called Rastas or Dreads. Although the people of Dubai are allowed to practice any religion they choose in private the main religion is Islam and is practiced by 76 % of the United Arab Emirates which makes the most popular and practiced religion in southwestern Asia. Although Christianity is allowed in the UAE a Muslim woman is not allowed to be with a non Muslim man it is forbidden.

The religions that are growing most rapidly in Australia are Buddhism, Hinduism, and Islam.
