France is a unitary republic ( unitary republic   with a bicameral legislature composed of the National Assembly and the Senate) the French constitutional system is often described as semipresidential,( semi-presidential system or dual executive system is a system of government in which a president exists alongside a prime minister and a cabinet, with the latter being responsible to the legislature of the state)  and is characterized by a structure of interconnecting powers between the legislative and executive branches.

  France's  diversified  economy  is led by tourism, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. The government has partially or fully privatized many large companies but maintains a strong presence in such sectors as power, public transport, and defense. o ne of the major industries in France is the en ergy sector. France’s leading electricity company (EDF), is the largest utility company in the world. The energy company, which is listed on the French Stock Exchange, has the state as the majority shareholder.  Manufacturing is among the largest industries in France, accounting for billions of dollars in the country’s GDP technoology is another way of making money  France is ranked among the most technologically advanced countries in the world, and the country has an ideal environment for technological research and innovation. religious background;   Church and state   is a term that refers to the relations between churches and governments. The church-state relationship has been the subject of disagreements and conflicts throughout history. Today, the  separation of church and state  is a central principle of government in the United States and some other democracies. It seeks to protect religious freedom and to prevent discrimination or exclusion on the basis of religion. About three-fifths of the French people belong to the  Roman Catholic Church . Only a minority, however, regularly participate in religious worship; practice is greatest among the middle classes.
