Cuba is a socialist state. It's guided by a single political party, the Partido Comunista Cuba, also known as PCC. The Constitution recognizes the party as the leading authority in government and society. The Central Committee, an administrative body elected by the Congress, is responsible for making the highest levels of policy, and it influences all government institutions. The Central Committee also chooses members from other smaller groups called the Political Bureau, which handles daily policy and decision-making. The Secretariat handles daily administrative work.

Government Coronavirus Reaction

Cuba has confirmed cases of Covid-19 within its borders. State media reported they are under quarantine and treatment at a designated health care facility. On January 28, the government of Cuba announced the formulation of an interagency working group to spread new rules for Cuba, and how it's way of running would change due to world pandemic.
